I’ve been the “go to girl” for all things weight loss and wellness for as long as I can remember.

I’m your girl.  I’ve got you covered on all fronts: nutrition, fitness, and mindset.

How did I get here?

Growing up, my father was a diabetic, and early on I learned the importance of eating well. I learned about nutrition and was fascinated how what you ate was who you became.

At age 11, I became obsessed with food, eating, and dieting.  Thankfully I was also really interested in nutrition so while I was bingeing, starving, dieting, losing weight, gaining weight, you name it, over the years…at least it was healthy food.

I suffered from eating disorders like anorexia and binge eating disorder, yet nutrition was always my focus.

When I was 34 years old, my mother was dying from kidney disease (due to poor eating).  Watching her suffer was the lightbulb moment I needed.  My father passed away 12 years earlier from diabetes (also from poor eating), and my mother’s death was the final blow that got me to realize I couldn’t let food control my life like it had.

After years of obsessing over food, reading every book possible on nutrition and weight loss, and chasing after perfection, I saw that how I was living my life was not how I wanted to keep living my life.  I set out to make a change that has stuck with me since.

Today, my reality is much different.

I am no longer controlled by food.

I no longer have out of control cravings.

I look great and I feel great, both physically and mentally.

I fought (and defeated) my own demons by learning everything I could about the psychology of eating, nutrition, fitness, and self esteem.  It was a long, hard fight, but I won…you can too!

I’ve been on the other side, obsessed with food, weight, and body image.  I climbed out of the trenches by learning everything I could get my  hands on and actually applying it.  I’m not a therapist who talks about this stuff from a theoretical place; I’ve been there!  And I’m not a nutritionist who thinks it’s easy to eat well.

 I have the life experience and the formal credentials.

I hold a Bachelors degree in Nutrition and am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition.  I also hold a Masters degree in Social Work, am a Certified Holistic Health Coach through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, and I have completed a comprehensive course in Coaching for Emotional Eating.

You don’t have to do this alone like I did.  I searched for help with my eating issues but I could never find anybody that could offer any real help so I decided to learn how to help myself.  It took me a long time to figure things out and I wish I had somebody by my side, guiding me to where I wanted to be.
